Graduating with a physical therapy diploma seems to quickly leads to a stagnant professional dead-end. What career paths, other than treating or managing a physical therapy facility, exist for an experienced (let’s say 5 years) physical therapist??

Can I get a Master’s in biology & then go into a Physical Therapy Program to become a DPT?

I have been to a chiropractor and he ruptured a disc in my neck, resulting in a surgery. Bad chiroproctor, not the profession. I am still in pain and its been almost 3 years now. I am scared of chiropractors. What type of therapy will I be getting from a physical therapist that is different than a chiro.? Are the appts longer atleast!
No fusion luckily with the surgery , just removal of the protrusion of the disc on my nerve.

My MRI shows a small tear but the doctor says such a big surgery for a small tear isnt a good idea and suggested physical therapy.
I have no swelling or buckling although I am in constant pain, especially after sitting for a period of time. To get up and straighten my leg if very painful

I’m writing a story with a character who is recovering after being shot twice in the upper abdomen. There’s muscle damage and one bullet hit the spleen, but otherwise, nothing vital. What type of physical therapy exercises would she undergo in her recovery?

I’m currently a physical therapy aide going to school for my Associates of Applied Sciences in Physical Therapy Assistant. My graduation/completion would be in August of 2011, and I’m sincerely wondering if there are clinics out there that will give me a chance before the completion of the degree, given proper proof and documentation of its pursuit.

Some resources tell me its about 5 or 7 years.
I need my AA, then a bachelors in either biology, health education, pre-physical therapy, athletic training etc……………. Then go into the Pt program…………… Is the pt program take three or four years.

I have a BA in biology and I am applying to grad school for physical therapy. I have noticed that some schools offer a 2 year masters and some a 3 year Doctorate degree. Wouldn’t it be smart to just go the extra year and get the DPT? What am I missing? Do employers prefer masters over Doctorate or vice versa?

I am looking to apply at marquette and was hoping to get into the field of physical therapy, does anyone know the requirements to apply? I have heard many rumors but am looking for the truth. Any ideas on GPA? ACT? etc…
